Hurricane Milton Update: Hurricane Milton had a major impact on Wildewood Springs. Structural damage to the buildings was light, but front courtyard fences and many carports were damaged. A number of large trees were uprooted and WWS Blvd was blocked. Our maintenance people were able to open it up following the storm. Power was off throughout the community for approximately 4 days. Photos of the storm damage are on the WWS website: Hurricane Milton
Hurricane Helene Update: Very limited issues. Rainfall less than 2 inches. Six semi-large trees down. Minor debris everywhere. Wind gusts reached 80+ mph.
Ceiling panes down in 5 carports and 4 cars scratched. Wildewood's water supply has been restored, however residents will need to boil their water as a precaution until Manatee County gives clearance that the water is safe to drink.
Wildewood Springs fared well considering the size and intensity of the storm.
The Wildewood Springs Condominiums, modernist in design, are arranged in an 88-acre Audubon bird and wildlife sanctuary, an old Florida oasis of palm trees, live oaks, flowering trees, and lakes. In our serene, natural setting, residents walk, jog, bike, and enjoy swimming pools, tennis courts, and pickle ball courts. The rich cultural attractions of Sarasota or the miles of spectacular Gulf beaches on Anna Maria Island are within a 15-minute drive.
